Trip Report: We arrived at Benarkin free camp around midday , Jim & Paul were not very far behind .
The ground was rather full with motor homes but we managed a nice shady area.
Set up, had lunch & Paul & Brad went off for a mountain bike ride. Whilst they were gone,Trevor & his 3 year old son turned up .
They returned around 4 & drinks nibbles & chatter was had . Brad set his iPad up & the boys settled in to watch the footy ( being the only girl I read my magazine).
We left camp around 9 Sunday morning to go Along the Old Coach Road, saw a couple of Roos & lots of cows.
Stopped along the way for morning tea. Continued along and finished the track until the end where we said goodbye to our visitor.
We continued the return journey - got a little lost, but eventually returned but to Benarkin.
A really nice drive , spots where you could & did have a little play . Nice to see some new scenery .
Thanks Paul for being trip leader.
Day Drive Teewah Beach
Meeting at BP Forest Glen were club members Jim and frank along with 5 visitor cars.
We left at 9.00 and headed to the barge at Tewantin and while letting down tyers we were joined by Derek and Mary.
On to the beach and about 20ks up we met members, Brad, Sam, Andrew, Meaghan, Rob, and our trip leaders Heather and Rod who were camping.
We stop in at Red Cannon and had a walk through the sand hills and took some photos. then we headed up to Double Island and into the bay via the Leisha track where we set up the club gazebo and had a sausage sizzle for lunch with members having a swim to cool down and enjoyed the great scenery.
At 2.00 we headed to Rainbow Beach for a customary ice cream, before heading out of town to take the track to Fresh Water. We stopped at the lake for a refreshing swim and then down onto the beach and back to the barge and home.
Thanks to Rod & Heather for leading.
