The club met at Pioneer Park in Landsborough for a Family BBQ with a great turn out of members and visitors. While the adults socialised, the kids had a ball on the various swings and slides.
After cooking up a feed for all, and a bit more socialising, it was time for our night drive.
With our trip signed and a quick chat about the trip 9 cars headed off down the back roads to the Glasshouse lookout where we aired down our tyres.
The plan was to head out to the Big Red car park then head north along the power line for an easy drive with a bit of fun along the way.
At the car park a few took on the challenges on offer with a few pics and vids taken.
We then headed along the track with quite dry conditions considering the rain we had. There a number of deep puddles with a away around most of them. After a few more challenging parts of the track including some interesting leans we came to the Telstra tower and a few decided to head home.
With 5 cars left we went along further with a bit more fun before we came to the freshly graded roads at the fenced off areas. It was disappointing to see the disrespect for private property with fencing and signs ran over.
We turned around and made our way across to the other power line and headed south with a little excursion down a side track that caused the jeep a few challenging moments as we tried to turn around do to track being better suited to motor bikes than cars.
After making our way back to the lookout, we called it a night and headed home.
Thank you to everyone who came along.
See you on the next trip.
