After meeting at the BP Northbound Dave, Nigel, Katherine, Paul and myself headed up the highway to Imbil where we caught up with members Rob, Kiwi and Angie.
We then headed out to the tracks opposite the dear farm where we lowered tyres before heading along the forestry floor on our way up to the fire tower. Near the tower we headed along the track with the aim to head down a hill called Bulldozer.
We soon realised that we were the first on this track for a long time as we spent a couple of hours clearing track before getting to bulldozer, but after starting down, I thought I would go for a walk and sure enough I could see we would lose more time clearing the track so after turning Nigel around and spending some time winching we went back the way we came but not before having some lunch and fix the clutch on Catherine and Paul's car which had a stick pop off the hydraulic mechanism.
Bit of bush mechanics and we were on our way back to towards the tower where we stopped to enjoy the view.
With the day we headed down the other side of the mountain through a number of gates and one hairy descent that Nigel enjoyed before making our way back to the main road where we aired up our tyres said our goodbyes and headed home.
See you all on the next trip.
