Kenilworth Bluff Morning Drive
Kenilworth Imbil rd departure just after 9 when the am arrivals set up and we're ready.
Kevin, Keiran, Jim, Brad, Samantha, Chris, Shae, Calvin, Rod, Heather, Barry, Stefi
Andrew and Megan after lunch.
Mary Valley rd past Roy Pocket rd and Comeback Camping left at Yabba Creek rd towards Imbil.
Quick stop in town for breakfast for some and then down toward lake Borumba
11 km from town creek crossings are full.
6 km down turned right and found logging has closed the track so we are going further toward the deer park. Past the deer park saw some Llamas on the right No deer.
At the crest of the dam wall Kevin opens the gate and we head up the track.
About 2 km veered left good track with thickening rain forest canopy. Small dry creek crossings
Nice steep hill with a couple of deep wash outs and quite a hole at the right turn. Along the top of the ridge and then right to mow some lawn and prune lantana.
Steep descent looking up the bums. We did a little left/ right off the main track and encountered five bikes having some fun.
Along the right side we encountered a steep descent blue would be a black going in the wet. Steep ruts and the extra clearance on the vehicles very handy. Spotting by Brad and Kevin helpful at crucial moments. Great views of Bunya pines to the left at the top of the ridge.
Lots of variety with a narrow gap between tree and boulders.
Back to the main forestry track and heading north through some bunya pine forest arriving at a road closed 4 km in.
Turned back to main track and arrived at camp doing approximately 70 km and taking about 2.5 hours via Aracuaria Creek Rd. left into Coonoogibber Creek Rd and right onto highway back to camp.

Kenilworth Afternoon Drive
After lunch we headed out to find some new tracks. We headed right from camp into the bush with Brad & Sam, Kevin & Kieran,Andrew and side kick Mick & kids.
After cutting up our first good hill Brad developed some car issues, so sadly back to camp for them.
Whilst stopped sorting out Brad's car old mate in his red 80 with Mrs & kids in tow asked if they could join us. We headed off again and enjoyed a great afternoon driving with no more dramas, just heaps of fun.
The views from the top of the ridge were spectacular to say the least.
We headed back to camp to have dinner and settle in around the campfire with the usual banter.
By this stage Big Rod & Paula and kids had arrived.
Sunday morning drive
The next morning after a hearty camp breakfast we headed out to have more fun on the tracks.
It had been raining in the night so the tracks had changed and were quite slippery.
The steep hill we drove the day before was not going to let us up today so Jim decided to explore one of the down tracks. After some winch practice we retrived him safely. Kevin & Kieran decided to try the upper tracks which proved to be more drivable. We spent the next hour having fun driving them.
Headed back to camp for some lunch and packed up camp.
We did a bit of exploring the Kenilworth Bluff Camping ground. There is a great place to swim and canoe on the Mary River there and other great spots on the grounds to camp.
Thanks guys for a great weekend. See you all on the tracks again.
